ELTC staff members are trained to provide mental health psychotherapy and/or skills training services to children with a diagnosis on the Autism Spectrum. Focusing on the individual needs of the child and family as well as best practices from a variety of effective treatment approaches.
Children with an ASD diagnosis often struggle with communication, social interaction, play skills, emotional regulation, and other challenges such as sensory processing and digestive problems. Also, prevalent may have restricted, repetitive, and stereotypical patterns of negative behaviors and interests. The above challenges often impede ability to interact with others and master developmental milestones. The Autism Testing Allentown staff, strive to provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere for you, your child, and other family members.
At ELTC we offer half-day therapy and skills training programs for children age two to seven.
Programs are individualized based on your child’s Individual Treatment Plan (ITP) and are carried out five days a week.
Your child will be with a caring clinician who is focused on the goals laid out in the ITP and parent or caregiver’s input. Treatment is based upon best practices using a variety of tools, techniques, and training. Therapies may include behavioral, play, and relational.
A typical day may include, but not be limited to: Relationship Building, Intensive Skills Training, Play Therapy, Communication Skills, Group Therapy and Skills, Peer Play, Gym Time, Daily Living Skills, and Snack/Lunch.
To Qualify
Children may qualify for our services with a mental health diagnosis on the Autism Spectrum or after being assessed at the center.
