Assessment and Treatment for Children and Families

The Empowered Learning Transformation Centers is a clinic of excellence offering assessment and treatment for children with developmental and behavioral needs and their families. We strive to be a center that offers families support, guidance and the time they need to make good decisions for their children and their futures.

Educational Services

Educational Services are provided by a Master’s Level educational psychologist. Our educational psychologist is able to evaluate a child and help guide services provided in the school. Services offered include:

Testing for Learning Differences and Disabilities such as dyslexia (reading and decoding struggles), dysgraphia (written language delays), and dyscalculia (math delays)

Consultation with parents and caregivers regarding your child’s school services such as a 504-accommodation plan, Individualized Education Plan (IEP), effective accommodations individually tailored to your child’s strengths and need areas and offer information on research-based interventions.

Our educational consultant also offers training for professionals and school districts in:

Research based strategies for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders

Research based strategies for children with Learning Disabilities

Planning, administering and writing comprehensive evaluations

Implementing social skills groups for children

Private social skills training

Educational assessments are generally completed as part a team evaluation with other providers at the Empowered Learning Transformation Centers to provide the most comprehensive evaluation and treatment plan possible.

At the Empowered Learning Transformation Centers, occupational therapy and evaluation is completed by a licensed and certified occupational therapist. Our therapists work with families as a team to come up with a plan to best fit each child’s needs. Occupational therapists also serve as part of our comprehensive multi-disciplinary team evaluation addressing possible diagnoses, recommendations, and the best possible course of action. Our occupational therapists assess and treat children with a wide variety of diagnoses and areas of difficulty. We help children work on:

Sensory integration/processing

Fine motor delays

Motor planning difficulties

Feeding disturbances (problem feeders or overly picky eaters)

Visual motor and visual perceptual difficulties

Handwriting difficulties

Daily living skills

Needs associated with learning differences

Sensory seeking and sensory defensive behaviors

Our occupational therapists are trained in the Handwriting Without Tears program as well as the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) feeding program. We are located within ten minutes of Minneapolis, St. Paul, Roseville, Maplewood, White Bear Lake, Shoreview, New Brighton, Arden Hills, and St. Anthony to name a few cities. This convenient location makes weekly appointments easier for busy families.

Speech and Language

The Empowered Learning Transformation Centers is proud to offer superior speech and language services to the Twin Cities. Evaluations and treatment are performed by a licensed Speech and Language Pathologist. The office is conveniently located in Roseville providing easy access to weekly therapy sessions.
