Empowered Learning Transformation Centers is a 501(c)3 nonprofit located in Rumson, New Jersey; working to create a community of competent and confident parents who nurture their children, through the offering of no-cost services, connection, education, and support during pregnancy and early infancy.

Empowered Learning Transformation Centers has offered practical help to thousands of pregnant women in Portland since its initial establishment in 1971. MCEC is an independent nonprofit organization, governed by a board of directors and managed by an executive director. Empowered Learning Transformation Centers receives no government funding and is supported entirely by donations, grants, and events. All of our services are free and offered without restriction on residency or income. Our center is open 6 days a week, staffed by volunteers, student interns, and a few paid-staff.
Empowered Learning Transformation Centers offers a judgment free space, welcoming any and all who are parenting, with the largest population served being women who are pregnant, families at the lower income level, and individuals at-risk due to substance or other abuse, domestic violence, child loss, refugee status, loss of job, homelessness, or other trauma. In a world that can be overwhelming, Empowered Learning Transformation Centers welcomes all parenting into this safe space to offer the most appropriate resources - in house and from the greater community - to help before, during, and after pregnancy. We recognize that motherhood is both a joyful and challenging journey; and we joyfully celebrate and creatively assist both women and men in meeting these challenges and needs.
We will provide a safe gathering place.
We will work to remove barriers of language, culture, or custom so that all know they are welcome.
We will not restrict services to income level or demographic.
We will creatively assist each parent before, during, and after pregnancy so she can confidently nurture her child.
We will offer parents practical help: resources, supplies, referrals, mentoring, and learning opportunities.
